FGM: Its an honor to sit down with you all . Tell us a little about your brand and how you've come to this vastly successful peek in your career .
Answer: My name is Lee and I am a Brand Marketer, Purpose Builder, and the Founder and Editor-in-Chief of Leading with Lee Magazine. My purpose for starting LWL Magazine was to provide a platform for aspiring millennials that allowed them to promote their brand through storytelling as well as develop personal and professional development through our resources. To date, brands and startups has successfully gained exposure as well as connections for their businesses and personal brands through our platform.
FGM: Who are the clients/what are the projects that you most enjoy working on?
Answer: Our clients are emerging and seasoned boss millennials who's goal is to gain exposure as well as grow personally and professionally. Although it's a ton of work, I love working on the physical issues of Leading with Lee Magazine.
FGM: How do you feel you make a difference in the world?
Answer: At first, I didn't think I made a difference. But, I started a personal development journey a few years ago that made me realise my purpose and value in the world, which is helping others discover and monetize their purpose and being inspirational and authentic. Over the years I've had so many people tell me that I helped them with a breakthrough, that my platform opened doors for other opportunities after being featured, and that my energy is motivating. That is so humbling to hear.
FGM: Tell us about a time when you showed determination to continue as an entrepreneur
Answer: I show determination everyday. Entrepreneurship is hard!! it is not for the weak.
FGM: Give me the three best qualities of your brand
Answer: Leading with Lee Magazine provides valuable content, we operate with integrity, and we provide opportunities and exposure for clients and staff.
FGM: Give me an example of when you worked irregular hours?
Answer: I'm a full time entrepreneur, full time corporate professional, and a full time mom to a three year old princess. My hours are always irregular lol. I manage this by intentionally setting aside time to work on or in my business. This happens at night, mainly between the hours of 10:00pm-2:00am, and on the weekends.
FGM: Being a entrepreneur is a 24/7 job, how did you get ready for that?
Answer: At first, I jumped in not really knowing what I was getting myself into. I learned over the years what an entrepreneur truly means.
FGM: How did you acquire the ability to work under pressure to beat meet deadlines as a entrepreneur ?
Answer: I used to always wait until the last minute to finish homework or a project when I was in school, or waited until the last minute to pack my bags before a trip. I guessed it paid off. But, eventually I started to plan ahead to avoid the stress.
FGM: What is your favorite inspirational point, place, to develop new brand developments?
Answer: I love reading books, articles, and listening to podcasts. But, most of all, I love to meditate.
FGM: Which current public figure, are you inspired by or appreciate the most?
Answer: I am inspired by Patrice Washington, America's money maven. Her redefining wealth podcast has inspired me on higher level.
How do you handle stress ?
Answer: The most effective stress reducer for me is meditation and prayer.
FGM: What are the three qualities you feel an entrepreneur must have ?
Answer: An entrepreneur should be resilient, a problem solver, and a great leader.
FGM: Where do you see your business in 10 years ?How do you plan to get there ?
Answer: I see my publication as being the number one media source for millennials looking to connect, build and grow.
