What is DUB LIFE?

It is the universal Battle

How do you find people to bring into your organization that truly care about the organization the way you do?

JR -As of now we don’t it’s just a family business and that’s the way we keeping it, because even with the people around you, it’s hard just to find people who really care about the business and not just the thought of it, or the photo taking of it, but people who really want to see it grow, to the heights of where we taking it, so my cousin and I just keep it between the two of us, because we know and understand the goal and hand and truly want it to happen.

QW- We don't. It's a family business between me and my cousin. And that's less problems. And at the end of the day nobody can see the vision like we can.

What three pieces of advice would you give to other children  who want to become entrepreneurs?

JR- 1.go to work soon as can start, so that you can get an income why you have the least bills, you will more then likely have in life.

2. Save money and learn how to invest, so that the money makes you money, because I know for fact, that money standing still is just that, money standing still, meaning it don’t decrease, but more importantly its doesn’t increase, and that’s a must for any entrepreneur.

3. Understand its high risk, high rewards, you can’t do it until you doing, believe in yourself more than anybody else do, and go for it.

QW- 1. Start as early as you can get a clear vision of your goal.

2. Learn how to money manage and save money.

3. Try to keep a good support system around you to keep you inspired and motivated to do whatever you want to do in life.

If you had the chance to start your career over again, what would you do differently?

JR- I would started sooner, meaning I would of stayed in school, so that I got my degree, in my early 20s, instead of my mid to late 20s, and I would of bought less thing that don’t mean nothing to save more money, like shoes, cars, things of material that you may think you need, but really just want and could do without, and get them later that way I or you could take, more risk with money, without it being in the way of me just living, paying bills, my son etc.

QW- I would have took the risk earlier even though I'm only 23yo. I'm still young and have time to perfect my craft.

What would you say are the top three skills needed to be a successful entrepreneur ?

JR- dedication, understanding, and the GET IT DONE skill, I say them three things because people may not look at them as skills, but really they might be the most important, in my eyes, being most people know, what you need, but lack the three skills I just mention, and more than likely end up working for someone else and making their dreams, come true and not their own, so it’s a must you carry them skills.

QW- Patience, understanding and hard work. You have to be willing to work hard and sacrifice a lot.

What have been some of your failures, and what have you learned from them?

JR- not being dedicated enough, and learn that more than anything beside health, you got to be dedicated to what you trying to do, or it just won’t work,

QW- Getting discouraged and not being patience enough. Nothing great in life comes easy, so you have to be patience. You have to understand the process.

How many hours do you work a day on average?

JR-between the two of us, at least 15, going over ideas, and creating them, networking, posting on social media’s, reading learning more things of that natural.

QW - All day. I'm creating every single second of the day, if I'm not sleeping and being a father to my kids. Posting on social media and networking.

Describe/outline your typical day?

JR- Wake up, bathroom work ‘laughing’, make my coffee, and start checking emails seeing if we got sales, or any other important business that might be in there, check Instagram messages, start posting pictures, on all social medias accounts,

QW- wake up at 3 o'clock every morning, workout, go to work, design and create than take care of my kids

How has being an entrepreneur affected your family life?

JR- For me it don’t at this point in my life being that I only have one child, so it's somewhat easy to move around things, plus he’s just now, getting to the age where he himself might want to go here or there and do this or that, so outside of my son if you not supporting what we do, then no you have no effect in my life so I’m good when it comes to affecting my family.

QW- it doesn't. When you have an understanding woman who understands your vision and ultimate goal, it makes being a entrepreneur easier.

What motivates you?

JR-is seeing other people, who are doing what we doing and became successful   at it, but maybe more then anything is seeing other people who look like me doing great thing, and we ain’t talking just your famous people, we talking about the ones you got to be doing your homework on, so you can find out who they are.

QW- my family. And the fact knowing that today could be my last, makes me go harder every single day.

How do you generate new ideas?

JR- For me one way is, I go outside, in the neighborhood and look at the younger people, and see what they may be wearing or talking about, and then I try and turn it into an idea of my ear fashion, because being older, than what we call fashion forward age, I bring that style with our style and create a style, that fits all ages of people who are into fashion.  I also surf the web to see if what can they rub off on my mind and create more ideas.

QW- I look at a lot of olds things. You gotta stay on top of your fashion. A lot of things pop up on my mind and I just get creative.

What sacrifices have you had to make to be a successful entrepreneur?

JR- my life, I put it all on the line, the money, heart and soul, and it was all I had left, so its success or bust.

QW- We’re still up and coming. And still building the brand

Where you see yourself and your business in 10 years? 20 years?

JR-I see the business, having a retail building in two different cities, one being Michigan City, Indiana our hometown, and some Place in Minnesota, where my partner/ blood cousin stay, and really from, and you can find me in a place called Long Beach / Michigan City, IN, that’s where the all the people with great wealth and riches stay at.

QW- realistically, I want to have two stores, one in my home town Michigan City, Indiana and one in Downtown, Minneapolis, Minnesota.
