FGM: Tell us about a time when you showed determination to continue as an entrepreneur
Answer: Quite often we aim for certain results. Many times, it's just not the results that we desire. As a group we show determination and desire to continue our path as entrepreneurs everyday and we remain focused on our main goal.
FGM: Give me the three best qualities of your brand
Answer: Our three best qualities are passion, consistency, and authenticity.
FGM: Give me an example of when you worked irregular hours?
Answer: A recent example was preparing for our photo-shoot. We were constantly communicating at all hours of the night in order to strategize colors, personal schedules, photo shoot dates, times, budgets, and more. It wasn't easy but we were able to get it done in a timely manner and the outcome was exactly what we were looking for.
FGM: Being a entrepreneur is a 24/7 job, how did you get ready for that?
Answer: Fortunately, we already went in with the mindset of "This is a 24/7 job" which was a big part in our first step. If were not able to be prepared for this mentally, it would be a major challenge for us to work together.
FGM: How did you acquire the ability to work under pressure to beat meet deadlines as a entrepreneur ?
Answer: Collectively were accustomed to work under pressure primarily because of our work history, daily duties, and obligations as single parents. This foundation has helped us with working well under pressure as well as meeting and beating deadlines. The bonus is having a circle that's on the same page.
FGM: What is your favorite inspirational point, place, to develop new brand developments?
Answer: Lemar: My most inspirational place is my team, the "winners circle." Being active in positive conversations with like minded individuals that all want to obtain the same goal, which is success! Not just for them but everyone around them.
Tamika: I pull my inspiration from my son, parents, and my circle. Every piece of positive energy, love, and passion always pushes me to do more.
Angelle: I pull inspiration from my children as well as my circle! Seeing the kids in their element and enjoying life always inspires me. When I see my circle grinding it makes me go even harder.
FGM: Which current public figure, are you inspired by or appreciate the most?
Answer: Angelle: Pilar! Seeing a single mother thrive in this industry and not letting up shows me that we are more than capable of doing the same.
Lemar: Kanye West. He's an individual that isn't afraid to be himself. He expresses himself freely no matter what other people may think and he sticks to his beliefs, even if they are unpopular.
Tamika: Regina King. She's relatable and reminds me a lot of myself. From motherhood to modesty. She's relentless, poised, and private.
How do you handle stress?
Answer: Angelle: As a trio, we all have our encounters with stress whether it's in business or in our own personal lives. However, what has worked best for us is communication, meditation, words of aspiration, and prayer. We must be a safe space for each other.
Tamika: Because my life has changed due to Lupus, managing stress is a must for me. In order to minimize it, I put myself and my health first. However, I still make sure I am consistent with my time management as well.
Lemar: I served in the US Army for over 10 years with two combat tours to Iraq. I've been creating order out of chaos for some time.
FGM: What are the three qualities you feel an entrepreneur must have ?
Answer: We all agree that the three qualities any entrepreneur should have are personal courage, consistency, and innovation.
FGM: Where do you see your business in 10 years ?How do you plan to get there ?
Answer: 10 years from now we see our business being a "Go To" brand. Although our business is catered towards jewelry and accessories for men and women, our business is also meant to empower everyone from the inside out.
FGM: It was a pleasure speaking with you thank you for joining us
Answer: Thanks again for the opportunity.
