FGM: Who are the clients/what are the projects that you most enjoy working on? Lia E. Colon, model, collaborating with Jermayne Noseal, photographer, and Amanda Azzinaro, MUA, for the vision “Wrapped Up in You.” I am a visionary who most enjoys pushing the limits when it comes to creativity and making visions come to life.

FGM: How do you feel you make a difference in the world? As a 4’11” model, my main goal is to break the standards of this industry and create new, fresh standards- standards that are inclusive to all models no matter their shape or size.

FGM: Give me the three best qualities of your brand / What are the three qualities you feel an entrepreneur must have? Humility, Adaptability, and being able to take criticism. In my opinion, if you’re a creative/visionary, I believe these traits are what make the difference between an amateur and a professional.

FGM: Give me an example of when you worked irregular hours.  I work in the corporate industry as well and I had booked myself for a week straight. It was then that I learned that planning is very important. I was working my 9-5 to then traveling to my booking in Philly or New York. Then on the weekend, I still had to wake up early to then come home late because of my poor planning. I made it work, I pushed through, but if at what cost, you know?

FGM: Being an entrepreneur is a 24/7 job, how did you get ready for that?  Being new to the industry, this is something that I’m still getting used to. Being able to clock in and out sometimes feels like a luxury when working in the corporate industry if I’m being honest. But accepting that eyes will be on me and my every move 24/7, is what helps any model to transition into this being their full-time career.

FGM: How did you acquire the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines as an entrepreneur?  Being able to work under pressure and the product comes close to, if not is, perfection, is something I’ve always been able to do. What I’m working on is, that just because I can, doesn’t mean I should- again, planning is everything!

FGM: Which current public figure, are you inspired by or appreciate the most? My mentor Denise. Since the day I met her, she welcomed me with great and genuine energy. She is always working and it’s important to surround yourself with individuals like her because the motivation that you give each other is infinite.

How do you handle stress?  Being in this industry can get stressful which is why indulging in self-care is something I do often! From facials, pedicures, and shopping, to traveling, reading, and writing, self-care is something I am very familiar with as anyone should try to be.

FGM:  Where do you see your business in 10 years? How do you plan to get there? In 10 years, I want a few studios that creatives can rent out, my own mentorship program, and of course, be on the cover of all the big magazines, and I’d love to see myself on the big screen at Times Square!

I don’t doubt I won’t achieve these goals because of the energy I put out. If your intentions are pure, there isn’t a bridge you can come by that won’t always welcome you. I appreciate everyone I’ve come across in this industry and thank them for collaborating and working with me.
